Yeahhhhh, just go. The breads, the deli, the sauces... I've had the Alfie & The Underdog both very different sandwiches & both so well done. I can't wait to get back and try the Gandolfini & the Big V. Also, trying to convince the family to cater Francolinis Mardi Gras '26. The picture doesn't show it but this sandwich was HUGE! Service is quick and nice, small building with cute decor. I always get take out.

The stories about the long lines at Francolini's Italian Deli have become legend. And for good reason. The sandwiches they put out are spectacular. Today, we Ubered over and stood in line. The store is neat and clean, the hard-working Staff are the epitome of hustle (Thank You, Shop R!), and the restroom very clean. There is limited dining space inside, and a larger, very nice patio area outside, with cafe tables. The table had Betty Whites ($14.99) and Uncle Johns ($15.99). Both choices were excellent, So Flavorful! The 7-inch sub rolls come fresh from the Ralph Brennan Bakery, using a house-recipe. The Focaccia bread is house made. At this moment in time (March, 2025), circumstances has forced Francolini's to add a 50-cent Egg surcharge to every order. Frankly, I am happy to pay it, and I am sure this charge will go away when the current egg crisis ends. So I highly recommend Francolini's Italian Deli, with the CAVEATS that you check their website for scheduled hours and closures, and their Instagram page for any updates. Order ahead if you can. Parking is tight if you go direct, so take someone who can run in to the store for you while you drive around the block. The extra effort, and a little planning, is worth it, you will not be disappointed. Francolini's Italian Deli, Five-Well-Deserved-Stars.

What a fantastic sandwich! It's called The Florence and it was so tasty. My husband had The Vesuvius and he really enjoyed that too. We were so happy to find a great Italian deli in New Orleans. We will definitely return!

I am not joking when I say this sandwich is probably the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. I probably think about it once a day. The menu has so many great options and the cashier was so willing to help with any question. They also have Dirty South chips!!! I will definitely be back again.

Mike's notes: Great sandwich. Could've used more hot cherry peppers and add vinegar and oil. Still ate it all! Rox's notes: I'm not big on Italian sandwiches but liked this one !! Agree on asking for extra cherry peppers...I'd also add mayo :) limited seating here so I'd prob order to go.

As a proud Philadelphian, something about ordering sandwiches with the names of prominent Atlanta Braves players felt gross. I'm glad I got past that unfortunate circumstance and got me a Smoltz. Grab a number when you walk in, select a sammy, and leave the rest to the helpful staff. Make sure you check the hours too... but expect a crowd if you go around noon.

Have been back several times. Each experience has been better than the next. For the first time, we tried online ordering. It was super smooth. Just order on the website and your sandwich is ready for pickup. I tried the "Lang" sandwich at my last visit. It was transformative. The best sandwich that I've eaten in recent memory.

I recently had the pleasure of discovering a hidden gem in New Orleans Francolini's - a New York-style sandwich shop that truly exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the intoxicating aroma of freshly baked bread and perfectly sliced meats. The atmosphere was delightful style with counter service but cozy and inviting, making me feel right at home. The menu at this sandwich shop boasted a wide variety of options, all made with homemade bread and carefully cut meats. I opted for the classic Italian on seeded french bread and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. The italian deli meat was tender and flavorful, the bread was perfect.. the sandwich was stacked high with all the fixings. Each bite was a delicious explosion of flavor. Add the spicy pepper mix!! What truly set this sandwich shop apart was the attention to detail and the commitment to quality. The bread was clearly made with love and care, and the meats were sliced to perfection. It was evident that the owners take pride in their craft and are dedicated to providing their customers with the best possible dining experience. The staff at this sandwich shop were also exceptional. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to make sure that my meal was nothing short of perfect. The service was prompt and attentive, adding to the overall enjoyment of my visit. If you find yourself in New Orleans and craving a taste of New York, I highly recommend checking out this sandwich shop. With their homemade bread, expertly cut meats, and top-notch counter service, you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to return and try more of their mouthwatering creations.
